Happy Election Day/Happy Birthday/Happy 100 Followers

6 Nov

Today is election day. It is also my birthday. It is also the day I now have 100 followers on my blog.

Hope you had a great day. I celebrated by o.d.’ ing on chocolate:

Lindt milk chocolate with hazelnuts

S’mores (my first s’more ever)

Keebler Deluxe Fudge Covered Graham Crackers

Chocolate Eclairs with Custard filling

This is what a dedicated health nut eats on her birthday. How old am I? I’m 30 again! I proclaim that it’s OK to go a little crazy on your birthday! (I did work out today.)

I also ordered a new part for my broken lawnmower. If it is the correct part and my lawnmower starts working again, I will write a post about it.

This is my idea of a happy birthday. To each his own. The icing on the cake would be if Obama won the election! I predict that he will!

To all my followers, have a great day and a great evening!

Belated Happy Birthday! and Congrats on your 100 followers. I am sure by now the number of readers would have grown. And Congrats on the election results as well. Now you have reminded me of chocolate I am going to have one πŸ™‚

Happy Birthday, and congratulations on 100! I’m so sorry for you that you’ve never had a s’more before. I hope the wait was worth it, although I have to think nothing beats a fire-roasted marshmallow. (If you’re going to try something for the first time, you should do it right!)

If you’re waiting a whole year for more chocolate, here’s a virtual champagne toast to you.

    • Marcella Rousseau November 8, 2012 at 12:03 pm #

Thank you and thank you! LOL! I just don’t feel like I missed much by not having a s’more! I do like fire-roasted marshmallows or even just plain marshmallows. As a kid, I used to like Mallowmars; they were just like s’mores because they had the same ingredients so I don’t feel like I missed out. They are a lot neater to eat plus no fuss. I don’t know. Give me a slice of NY pizza any day instead and I’d be a lot happier with that! ; – )

Happy birthday a day late! So you finally had a s’more. Good for you. That will keep you younger than 30 forever.

    • Marcella Rousseau November 7, 2012 at 1:58 pm #

Thank you! It’s funny, I was watching a cooking show and they taped a company that makes S’mores and packages them individually. Their s’mores are big! You put them in the microwave. They looked really decadent! All I did was toast the marshmallow on the stovetop and squeeze it in between two chocolate covered graham crackers. I’ll have to try the microwave way.

What will they think of next! That’s funny.

Happy Birthday!!! And YAY to 100 followers! (the eclairs look really yummy!)

    • Marcella Rousseau November 7, 2012 at 2:01 pm #

Thank you Kenley! Yes, YAYAAAA! The eclairs I bought were miniature, about the size of a swollen thumb. Very cute and very tasty!

    • Marcella Rousseau November 6, 2012 at 9:24 pm #

Thank you SR. I didn’t even make a wish today! But now that you reminded me, I wish for world peace ; – ) and yes, I did enjoy all that chocolate! I will have to work out longer tomorrow because I can feel it growing on my hips! lol!

Happy happy birthday Marcella! I don’t need a birthday to splurge on chocolate…as a matter of fact, I am going to reach for some right now! Reward for working the phone banks most of the day!

    • Marcella Rousseau November 6, 2012 at 9:14 pm #

Uh-oh! I think I started a chocolate chain reaction! lol! It’s true, any day is a good day for chocolate. I just never tried a S’more before and I had to have one of my favorites: Eclairs! Yum!
